A Chance to Win a FREE banner for your blog

I'm still floundering a bit with my blogging schedule.

I want this blog to be more about me, I want to actually provide interesting information, motivation, support and ideas about weight loss and healthy living. We are all in this together, and chances are if you're stopping by you're looking for something and I want to provide it.

Over the past two years you've watched me lose weight, gain weight, post daily food entries and non at all, I've done plus size fashion remixes, I've made new recipes, I've talked about exercise classes, I've had philosophical moments about why I'm fat, I've tried a lot of diets, and I've talked about all around self-improvement.

I am and will lose weight in 2009 and want to continue sharing my story. I have the ability to leave comments on your blogs (which I don't do enough of!) and i have time and freedom to provide a truly wonderful place to stop by everyday. I don't always deliver and I haven't always been consistent.

Now, how can you get a free banner? If you would like your very own customizable banner just leave a comment with your answers and thoughts about the following questions. I will stop counting the comments tomorrow at 2pm (EST) and use a random comment generator to announce the winner tomorrow by 4pm!

1) I'm not a long time reader, but, I keep coming back to your blog because I feel we are similar - youthful, stylish, hip, and we face the same struggles at a time which is all about the independent woman who has it all. We almost have it all. So close!

5) No. I am quite happy with the foods that I eat. My eating style has helped me lose quite a bit of weight.

I'm not a long-time reader, but I check in with you because I love getting a peak into your thoughts and struggles - I like to see how other people handle their challenges and look for those on similar journeys to mine.

2) What do you like about my blog?
Well...it's cute! (Is that shallow?) I also like that you seem real and open.

3) What do you not like about my blog (aside from web ads)?
I think your blog is great and the only thing I'd say is that it would be even better with more frequent posts and more detail about ups and downs in the weight loss struggle. (But just because that's what I'm curious to know about doesn't mean that's what you should write about)

4) How often would you like to see new entries? (IE: daily, twice a day, every other day etc.)
Daily's good, but I won't revolt if you're MIA :)

From time to time - I like the more human element and tend to glaze over at recipes...maybe it reminds me too much of all the cooking I'm not doing in my house!

It's not my first interest, personally, but I still think it would be great content for your blog.

Motivation is always wonderful, but I don't expect you to be a great and perfect wise sage - and I wouldn't want you to only post if things are peachy. I just like the real-ness.

I don't know if I'm technically a long-time reader but I've been coming back for a while. It's sort of undefinable, which I'm sure doesn't help you, but that undefinable something is usually "atmosphere".

What do you like about my blog?

I like the honesty here, and that I feel like you're presenting yourself really well in your posts.

What do you not like about my blog (aside from web ads)?

The only thing I could say is that I like it so much I wish you posted more frequently.

A couple of times a week is nice.

They certainly do. I recently started eating meet again in an effort to open up the healthy meal options and I have no idea where to start!

I am madly in love with clothes, so yes.

The blog itself is motivation, so I suppose, yes.

I'd like to see more weight loss on me. ;) I find that most things are great as long as they can be related to personally... like, if you're writing about dieting tips, what worked for you and how it made you feel, etc... or how you feel trying to lose weight, and so forth.

What do you like about my blog? I think your blog is pretty. I like to look at it. I like that you do research and have things to tell me that I can use. I get stuck in being an all-about-me blogger, where you provide us with information as well.

What do you not like about my blog (aside from web ads)? I can't think of anything. And I don't mind the ads.

How often would you like to see new entries? (IE: daily, twice a day, every other day etc.) Girl, that's totally your call.

Do healthy recipes and meal ideas interest you? Absolutely! I love cooking and I like to have recipes that others have tried.

Would you like more plus size fashion ideas? Yes! I love the entries where you would recreate an outfit.

Are you looking for motivation when you read my blog? Not really. I think I go back to blogs when I feel like I have made a connection with someone. I love feeling motivated, but I've learned that for me, it has to come from within.

And finally, what would you like to see more of around here? I am a very visual person. I have also visited your other sites (thanks to facebook!) and know that you are an awesome photographer. I'd love to see more pictures of the food you cook and of your space and things that keep you motivated.

What keeps me coming back? I love your spirit and drive and sense of fun. And the fashion remixes are always kick ass.

What do I like? That you keep trying even when you face obstacles. That you don't let the fact you're overweight define who you are.

What don't I like? I never know when you'll have a new post up because you disappear sometimes.

How often would I like to see new entries? 2-3 times a week. I won't ask you to post more than I do!

Do healthy recipes and meal ideas interest me? Yeah I don't mind them but their not my favorite.

Would I like more plus size fashion ideas? YES! I loooooove the fashion remixes! You always find the cutest stuff!

Am I looking for motivation when I read your blog? Sure, if only because it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who struggles with the tough stuff. And when you experience success it motivates me to keep trying so I can experience it too.

What would I like to see more of? A more consistent posting schedule. I love your blog, so naturally I want more. Plus it seems like blogging helps keep you on track, and I want you to kick ass this year!

3. I don't even see the web ads. The word verification, but that's just because I'm lazy and usually get it wrong the first time...

Like I said, the writing style, but also all the different categories. I like the fashon pages and the diet reviews. Most of all I like reading about what's happening with you.

I love reading about motivational things, exercise (hee hee), and I prefer reading about someone's personal thoughts than a review that you feel like you have to do because it's on your schedule.

What do you not like about my? Oh, I don't even mind the ads. Do what you have to do, right?

Do healthy recipes and meal ideas interest you? I like simple ideas & things that are easy to cook for one or two people without tons of left overs.

Reason number 1: You post more consistantly than any other blogger I've read. I enjoy knowing that 9/10 times I stop in there will be something new to read.

Reason number 2: Your response to failure! Even if you don't do what you really WANT to do, you still stay motivated to do it!

Reason number 3: I love the recipes- especially the ones that have pictures of what you've cooked. Its a brilliant idea to be able to see what your talking bout.

Reason 4: All of us big'ens can relate to everything you post! We're very much alike and its nice to know that we're not in this fat fight alone!

While a daily post would be awesome, I don't feel it is always necessary. Most of us read through so many blogs every day and want to comment on a lot of them as well, so if you skip a day, it helps us (well, at least me) pick who we will comment to and who we have to pass for the day.

5. Do healthy recipes and meal ideas interest you? I am no connesiure by any means, but I LOVE finding and trying healthy recipes.

6. Would you like more plus size fashion ideas? I am impartial to this one, but I am very fashionably illiterate so some style suggestions would never hurt.

7. Are you looking for motivation when you read my blog? Yes, definitely, I am huge about motivation, and like to find motivation in everything I read, watch, taste, do, etc... It's also great when I can find it through someone who is so down to earth.
